What is the Sustainability in Practice (SIP) Certification?
Sustainability in Practice (SIP) is a rigorous certification program that helps vintners and winemakers demonstrate their dedication to preserving natural and human resources.
Launched in 2008, SIP has now certified more than 43 million bottles of wine under its guidelines.
While you’ll find SIP Certified wines that are also organic and biodynamic, the SIP Certified process addresses additional farming methods, looking at sustainable practices on every level, from energy conservation to water quality, vineyard management to pesticide use, even community relations and labor management. It is an additional way for consumers to know they’re buying sustainable wines that give back to the land and community on every level.
